Rug Care
Taking care of your rug doesn’t have to be a daunting task. By following these simple yet effective rug care tips—using the correct vacuuming method, treating spills promptly, rotating your rug regularly, and investing in professional cleaning—you can ensure that your rug remains a cherished, beautiful part of your home for many years. Remember, a little love goes a long way when it comes to rug care.
- VACUUM REGULARLY – Use a flat suction head on your vacuum cleaner. We suggest avoiding brush or motorised power heads, as stiff bristles and strong suction can damage the pile.
- CLEAN SPILLS & SPOTS IMMEDIATELY The prompt removal of stains or soil marks is necessary to maintain the appearance of a rug. If in doubt, please contact us as soon as possible.
- NEVER RUB A SPILL, INSTEAD BLOT ANY LIQUIDS Use a dry absorbent white cloth or white paper towel to blot dry any liquids.
- DO NOT USE DETERGENT DIRECTLY ON A RUG. Clean with a mild detergent and water and ensure never to apply detergent directly to a rug. Always test on an inconspicuous area of a rug first. If in doubt, contact us and we will happy to assist you.
- ROTATE YOUR RUG Every 6 months we recommend rotating your rug to ensure even wear.
- PROFESSIONAL CLEAN IS RECOMMENDED Contact us for details on a professional rug cleaner.
